Raili and Kai saw Dora the Explorer in the video store and probably had flash backs to a time when they actually understood the vidoes they were watching. So we bought one only to discover that in China Dora does not teach kids to speak Spanish but English. Dora, Boots, Abuela and others speak Mandarin Chinese with a few words of English slipped in; "The river", "the rock", "the library". A few things are left unexplained, such as the Mexican mariachi band that comes and plays a quick fanfare when ever Dora and Boots succeed in something. That's just as well. :)
