The Year of the Mouse is gone and so are Disney's ads encouraging us to visit Hong Kong Disney and their famous rodent. Mouse is associated with intelligence whereas the newcomer, Ox (Pronounced "Niu" in Chinese) is seen as industrious. So this year muscle over mind prevails, I guess.

Kai's kindergarten had a Chinese New Year party and all kids were asked to dress up. Our ayi helped us to score a genuine CNY outfit and Kai was so thrilled with the ensemble (was it the color, the style or the padding? Not exactly sure) that it inspired Kai to show some Kung Fu moves at the park.

I even got a rare hug between the sibblings captured on film. (Ok, Ok. So I bribed them with promises of Chocolate.)

Xin nian quai le! Happy New Year
