Last week we celebrated the 59th anniversary of the People's Republic of China. The National Day included parades and speeches, but also a special visit from the...um...military police. Well, at least if you are a three year old and go to a local kindergarten.

The visit included demonstrations in martial arts and military style marching. No wonder our child was a walking Karate Kid for six days straight until I figured out what he had seen and where.
