Last Saturday I was in the grocery store trying to grab a few items while the kids were in Finnish School. I was running out of time and so did not pay as much attention to every item as usual. I thought I grabed a package of hormel's bacon, but on closer inspection at home, it looks like I got the local version instead.

The Elaborate Bacon boasts of "Western New Technicr Offer Everyone High-quality Nutritive" with the marketing slogan: "Piece in Heart, Fragrance in Mouth".

It's either the very first bacon brand to advertise its product with true merits (it will clogg your heart) or something got lost in translation. Either way, it was pretty good for $.99
