This year both kids got to enjoy Halloween in school. Kai was dressed up as Batman and Raili surprised us all by choosing to be a witch. Here are some pictures from Kai's class party:

Since the actual Halloween night was rainy and cold, we decided to hold our own trick or treating at home for Raili and Kai. Kids put their outfits on, we turned all the lights off and David and I hid inside the bedrooms. R&K would come and knock on the door, yell Trick or Treat and one of us would boo-hoo them while the other would sneak into a different room in the darkness. After getting candy, the kids would come find the other person hiding behind another door. And so we went until the candy ran out.
It was definitely the PG version as no one got soaked, cold or (too) scared.
It was actually quite a bit fun. I'm considering making it an annual event! :)
